Round Square Regional Conference Shri Utsav 2018 got off to a stupendous start. The event commenced by seeking the blessings of the Almighty, followed by ‘Nrityanajali”, an obeisance to the Supreme Power through the classical dance form, Kathak, which was set to live music, sung by the students of Junior school.
The Keynote speaker, Ambassador Dr Deepak Vohra, roused the passion and pride of the students in their motherland with his impassioned and inspiring speech. He implored the students to be observationalists and augment their knowledge and awareness. The audience was then treated to a musical performance by the Niazi Nizami Brothers, the Qawwals at Dargah Hazrat Nizzamuddin Auliya. Their enthralling renditions of Sufi poetry into music made it an enriching experience for all.
The dance performances by delegate schools on the theme of Mythology showcased vignettes from the narratives of our ancient texts. The cultural event was followed a Barraza session where the delegates reflected on the inspiring speech of Ambassador Dr Deepak Vohra and their learning from it. The students then engaged themselves in various art activities like Madhubani Art, Sanjhi Art and Sculpture. The day ended on a high with Nukkad Natak by our students on the burning topics of today.
