The India Australia club is about bridging continents ‘virtually’, as we get to interact one to one with students from the Toowoomba Grammar School, Queensland, Australia.
Through these sessions, the students get to understand that despite the distance in time and space, there are many commonalities in the world of a 12-13 year old.
Apart from academics, there is education which evolves through music, sport and varied cultures.
Our students were excited to learn about new games like touch soccer and instruments such as trombone, baritone. Through collaborative work on ukelele, piano and guitar we hope to put up a performance in the near future.
The interest in Rubik’s cube generated much excitement and the two groups are going to be competing across continents. This exercise will help the students learn a time saving trick or two from each other.
To sum up we can just say that the demographic boundaries need not create barriers and borders- but instead dispel these thoughts for a cohesive development of our students.
