Psychology-Sociology Seminar

Students of TSRS Aravali participated at the 7th annual Psychology-Sociology seminar ‘Towards an Equal World’.hosted by The Cathedral and John Connon School hosted This year’s topic was ‘Body Neutrality’ which was discussed from the perspective and influence of social media, capitalism, gender norms, popular culture, race, and nutrition. Students were to take on the roles of stakeholders, analyse case studies, and come up with viable solutions in their respective committees.

Anoushka Antony, member of the Popular Culture committee with its agenda focused on colourism, held the role of ‘Fair and Lovely’ and won the ‘Best Delegate’ award

Yogini Sriram, member of the Race and Ethnicity committee with its agenda focused on discrimination against dark skinned people competing in events, held the role of Mrs. Taara in a case study and won a Verbal Mention.
