Leadership and Entrepreneurship

Leadership and Entrepreneurship

At TSRS Aravali, we aim to cultivate leadership and entrepreneurship skills among our students. To achieve this, we have partnered with The Global Education & Leadership Foundation (tGELF), which follows a distinctive curriculum known as SKILLD (Skilling & Know How Initiative for Lifelong Leadership Development). in collaboration with the Graduate School of Education, Harvard University and Teachers College, Columbia University, USA, this curriculum offers a comprehensive framework for lifelong leadership development.
HARMONY is a unique school level international youth festival, that provides a platform for our students to explore their potential through community engagement competitions such as the Youth Leader Competition and the Youth Entrepreneur innovative business projects. These events recognise the leadership potential of students and honour them for their outstanding acts of community engagement. The student’s journey from conceptualizing a leadership action to its implementation not only embeds a virtue within them but also fosters a deep-rooted and selfless commitment towards preserving and nurturing green spaces.
tGELF was officially inaugurated in 2008 by the then Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh.

Aravali Model United Nations (AMUN)

AMUN endeavours to provide a realistic simulation of United Nations committees. The aim is to offer students a platform to develop their leadership skills and gain knowledge in diplomacy, international relations, and debate. AMUN not only teaches participants valuable skills such as research, public speaking, debating, and writing, but also fosters critical thinking, teamwork and leadership abilities.
Students are assigned the roles of sovereign nations or government officials, such as cabinet members, and are tasked with addressing the challenges outlined in the agenda of their respective committees. This immersive experience places students in the midst of chaos and disorder, prompting them to think of real-world solutions. Throughout the process, participants tackle global issues by using instruments of dialogue and cooperation. The ultimate objective of a Model UN is to solve problems through collaboration and not brute force or aggression.
This year commemorates the 15th edition of Aravali MUN. The Model UN was initiated at The Shri Ram School Aravali in 2008, inviting reputed guest speakers and experienced delegates to come together and enable students to become knowledgeable and engaged members of society. Over the years, AMUN has grown into a captivating two-day event offering students insights into the contemporary world and fostering a closely-knit community that actively participates in Model UN conferences across India.
